Tosca, Covent Garden

For the new production of Tosca at The Opera House at Covent Garden, this coat was embroidered for the part of Scarpia. Here portrayed by Bryn Terfel.

The embroidery is sewn in rayon ombrè thread and two shades of metallic silver. The motif is lifted from an original 18th century coat.
