Timeline

Costume design: Jenny Beavan.

For the movie “Timeline” Costume Designer Jenny Beavan needed embroidered tabards for the villain “Lord Oliver”, played by Michael Sheen.

Up until this project, previous work had been embroidered on a domestic machine. It was obvious however that this machine would collapse under the weight of the dense embroidery and the heavy velvet. After having approved samples for the embroidery Jenny Beavan ordered 5 tabbards and they alone supported the acquiring of a strong industrial embroidery machine and a more substantial software. “Timeline” was in other words a far and firm kick into a passage of whole new challenges and possibilities and for this I am profoundly grateful to Jenny Beavan and Cosprop.
