Sjølander Embroidery was started in April 2004 and is managed and owned by Thomas Sjølander.

The company is specialized in producing highly detailed embroidery for fashion, film, theatre and museums. Motifs for embroideries commissioned may be worked from either reference material or lifted from actual embroideries.

Often the textile carrying original embroidery will
deteriorate with time. Recreating the design is the only way of presenting the extraordinary efforts of bygone artists, in a condition that will endure daily use. Meticulous care is taken in remaining true to the original design, both in stitches and colours.
