Metallic and shading embroidery
The Paris Opera had original 19th-century pieces of clothing in their production of The Marriage of Figaro. The pieces were worn from years of use and the silk almost disintegrating around the original embroidery. For the reopening of the production three costumes were recreated with new embroidery.
